Empowering Medical Malpractice Victims:

Our Commitment to Advocacy and Justice

OUR MISSION

At the Patient Rights Advocacy Forum, we champion the rights of patients and their families in Louisiana to receive full and fair compensation for injuries and deaths resulting from medical malpractice— the third leading cause of death in the United States.

Our advocacy is rooted in addressing the injustice caused by Louisiana’s harsh and outdated medical malpractice laws, enacted in 1975 to shield the powerful healthcare industry. Through relentless advocacy, we strive to reform Louisiana’s medical malpractice laws to hold nursing homes, hospitals, and healthcare providers accountable when their negligence results in life-altering injuries or loss of life.

We advocate for fair and equitable medical malpractice laws in Louisiana that prioritize patient safety, deter medical malpractice, and ensure just compensation for preventable harm.
