Claude Rigmaiden is a native Louisianian who was born in Sulphur, Louisiana. He graduated from Sulphur High School in 1997 and has lived in Calcasieu Parish all his life. Claude has pursued a career in construction and is also a restauranteur. His experience with Louisiana’s medical malpractice system arose from the death of his infant daughter due to malpractice when she was prematurely discharged from a hospital in New Orleans where she had been transferred for treatment. His experience exposed him to the harshness of Louisiana’s medical malpractice system and instilled in him a desire to change it.
