Mr. Paul Barbour

Paul was born in Charlottesville, Virginia and attended high school in Crozet, Virginia. He received his B.A. from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette in 2012, a Masters Degree at Liberty University in Education and Sports Management, and an Ed.D. from Liberty in Education. He has had a career in these two vocations and lives in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a victim of medical malpractice at Opelousas General Hospital where he nearly died due to a medication error by an emergency room doctor. He became familiar with Louisiana’s harsh medical malpractice laws when he pursued a claim through the entire system and trial and became an supporter of medical malpractice reform in Louisiana.
